"Now, there was one shot that I had planned out in my mind
before I even got to Florida. I knew what I wanted, and I really
only had one chance to get it. I scouted areas during the daytime
but couldn't really come up with the venue that I was looking
for. I thought I had a good site in mind, but as it turned out,
the sun was setting and I was nowhere near where I wanted to be.
Furthermore, storm clouds threatened to obscure the sunset. Well,
I threw all my planning out the window and took a chance on an
area that has produced decent sunset shots for me in the past.
I raced down the road towards this area but I was not liking the
cloud cover. Just as I arrived at the spot the sun disappeared
and then the magic happened. The stormy cloud cover didn't quite
reach the horizon and a brilliant orange/pink light shined through.
Knowing I only had a minute or two, I frantically searched for
an interesting foreground subject. In the darkness I could make
out a familiar silhouette. Bingo! I had my shot."
