Despite this drought, i've still been managing to find some snakes. San Diego Gopher Snake. (Pituophis catenifer annectens) Found this guy basking over a rock, these snakes are super common for everybody except me. Yeah... that's a big-un :shock: Is that a snake bag, in the background? Not sure if you know/heard... but Ruber are now protected, so you don't want to have one in a bag, for any reason. I Would love to add them to the database, i'm kind of new to posting on here, how exactly do i do that. These were found in riverside county. Also flipped 2 ringnecks yesterday too. 2014 is lovin me so far :) :) :) :)

Deciding to go hit the field today with a buddy of mine. Honestly wasn't expecting to find much, it was ridiculously dry, but tried anways. Gorgeous Cal king found under some tarp. Hiking around and came across a den of neonate rubers, saw 5 of them total. This might have been one of the cooler things i've seen. Even though I commonly encounter these snakes, seeing 5 babies was killer! Yes I know these are protected, so no there was no handling done with the snakes. https://sc...
