Re: Advice with Herping

If you look at a day in the field as a wasted day because you didn’t see anything, then you’ve TOTALLY missed the boat!!! Couldn't agree more, Kris. I've said for years that herping like fishing. If you have to find herps (or catch fish) to have a good time, you should probably find another hobby. ...

I understand that, I was not looking for that answer, but I have found quite interesting animals. Eastern Kingsnake, Mexican Spinytail Iguana, Common House Geckos and Five-lined skinks. Cane Toads and Crocodilians, so please don't tell an answer to just log off and herp. I know that, but am asking ...

Re: Anyone Use a Dash Cam?

I agree, battery life is definitely a problem. I have 2 batteries plus the extended battery and I don't think those would last long on an all-nighter. Since they are USB chargeable, I could always be charging 1 battery while using the other one to exhaustion then switch. I may give that a good try....

I've been researching this a bit too and thought a goPro would be awesome because it could be used for walking around on hikes and such too, but for the driving part, the problem you will run into is battery life. The memory usually outlasts the power. These links are interesting, keep us posted if...

I hate to say it, but PETA and HSUS didn't go in there to save any animals. They went there with the intent to euthanize every animal. I belong to a local SoCal reptile society & rescue and we offered volunteer services to help with said "rescue" and were turned down. Other groups like...

I have a GoPro Hero3 that I'm thinking of purchasing the suction cup adaptor specifically for this same reason. I think it'd be interesting to see that moment of discovery from 3rd person. When I get back from Sturgis, I'll get the adaptor and put it to good use.
