Re: Nevada County Species List and Database Gaps

I went for a short hike with my family in Grass Valley a few weeks back and figured i could find a few Nevada Co. critters in the process.... Think i was a bit early as i only found a couple tree frogs. :|

Re: Mendocino County in the database

Thanks Jimi, im sure you have stumbled into way more pot than i have. And i am a big time advocate of people being sure to buy weed from hippies rather than the Mexican mafia. In my case though i had a Really bad experience trying to flip zonata in early October after a good rain on public land in L...

Re: Mendocino County in the database

I live less than 2 hours from Mendo, but that is a place i never seem to wander off to. I am sure there is plenty of safe areas to explore, however the amount of pot grown in that County has made me reluctant to go wandering. I know of 2 zonata that have been found on private property there but Mend...

Re: Striped gopher snake from today

Stripers are always a great site to see, nice find. From my novice experience i would consider them Co-dominate. Several years ago i found a really clean striped Napa Co. female and paired her to a locality match normal patterned male, she produced 4 eggs. Those eggs consisted of 1 normal patterned,...

Thanks , these ideas helps somewhat. I did a lot of searching last season and made a fair amount of entry's. Probably logged 80% of what i found last year. However in 2010 i had saved everything until the end of the year and tried to log it then.... That idea was a bad one logged 40% at best because...

I doubt there is Kings on Alcatraz, but Im going to take a good look around Angel Island next month, there are a few spots worth inspecting closer. I have seen several of the usual suspects lizard and salamander wise there.
I cant remember if kings were documted on that island or not though.
