Ok, we found our dog! She is a 5.5 month old "Hound mix." ...I've been told possibly Blue tick Coonhound, maybe Border Collie, maybe Catahoula. I personally have no clue - maybe I'll do a DNA test. She was placed with us from an NJ rescue who took her in from a kill-shelter in Alabama wher...

I saw two copperheads on the road at night last year in North NJ. I tried two nights in a row in similar weather. The first night... two copperheads, one rat, one garter, one water. The second night, nothing - but it was on different roads. It's only anecdotal, but take it for what its worth.

Here was another neat experience. In one glimpse, I doubled my life time Wood Turtle observations. This was from a lunchtime walk a few weeks ago. It was the first time I had never seen browns at this spot, as well as seen them mating. Very cool!

I've found the actual migrants will be out in the 30's. But its gotta be like 44+ to get like green frogs and other randoms on the road. Not sure if that's others' experiences.
