Fantastic shots, Jerry!! After all these years, I have yet to see a Daboia and a Rein Snake, let alone one of those damn 100-pacers that have kept eluding me for a solid 13 years now (while everyone else seems to trip over them every time they hit the mountains). @Jimi, you must come here. London herping advice
Hi everyone
I will be doing a family trip to London, UK in June, and will spend a day to herp.
Can anyone recommend some nice places(easy to get by public transportation) in London where I can find snakes?
Is Richmond Park good?
Is Blackheath good?
Thanks very much!

Thanks Jerry, I always enjoy your stuff! Other than tree vipers, pythons, monitors, and cobras - the herpetofauna is pretty ecologically similar to the SE USA. Ha ha ha, but really. Water snakes, tree frogs, rat snakes, skinks, newts etc...similar, but still exciting and different. cheers Thanks Ji...

Hi Jerry, Nice finds. The network of roads in northern Taiwan (around Baling, etc) look like a nightmare for road-cruising due to the narrow pavement, concrete ditches, and steep drop-offs. Is this true, or are there places to pull over and photograph when a snake is found? Steve Hi, the road of Ba...

Re: June 29~30 2015, Taiwan.
From May to October is the best season to look for snakes in Taiwan.
But Deinagkistrodon or Ovophis are not common, so if you would like to find them you should have a good luck
The best place for herping is Baling(巴陵), Taiwanese herper's favorite place, there are so many snake species.
