You can see a pretty prominent dorsal stripe in the first pic, marcianus or cyrtopsis would be my guess.

Brian, what would you consider the purest form? I found an individual well east of the Pajarito's lacking any pigment, certainly resembling the Sonora animals in appearance.

Very cool stuff Kent! The ones that caught my eye were the gecko and his coastal chapparal habitat in the background. The very yellow striper as well as the fulginosus. Great commentary/narrative as usual.

I do a lot of these for work with explorer groups and such and they really do make a difference. Especially having live animals, seems to engage the kids more than talk and photos, getting them to share encounters of their own, many of which where I work (Long Beach) have never been on a camping tri...

Boa already dispersing in crunchy dry, mid feb conditions. Not good. Found a similar scenario with one crawling from one pile to the next less than a month ago.
