Nice finds. You don't have to go too far from home to see the Boreal Toads here in Cordova/Prince William Sound, although reports are they are not as numerous as they used to be.

Some of these critters rival the Thorny Devil! I love the Horned Frog and the Angle-headed Lizards are not bad either. That Green Crested Lizard is a stunner as well. Nice finds and photos.

That would kill me, as a Perentie was the only other herp (in addition to Centralian Knob-tailed Gecko) that I had really hoped to see but did not. Well I guess I can say I have seen and photographed one! haha
I agree it looks like a monitor face but if a Perentie, a pretty small one.

Cool some frogs are out already! You might have to check out Cordova some time... we have twice the herps you do up river: 2! Wood frog and boreal toad, although the toads have all but disappeared in recent years.

Costa Rica has such great diversity and you sampled a nice cross-section of it. The glass frog images are beautiful and cool you got to see a Tapir. I, too, have been to CR 4 times and the Osa and Corcovado are my favorite!
