Nice finds. You don't have to go too far from home to see the Boreal Toads here in Cordova/Prince William Sound, although reports are they are not as numerous as they used to be.

Some of these critters rival the Thorny Devil! I love the Horned Frog and the Angle-headed Lizards are not bad either. That Green Crested Lizard is a stunner as well. Nice finds and photos.

...Where next? Thanks for looking and for the comment. Since we have now seen the east coast and a swath of the center, the west coast is most likely our next destination. That would kill me, as a Perentie was the only other herp (in addition to Centralian Knob-tailed Gecko) that I had really hoped to see but did not. Well I guess I can say I have seen and photographed one! haha

Makes me want to go back to Costa Rica. Awesome photos. Helmeted iguana and Bothrops of any size have eluded me on our trips. The sharks and tuna are icing on the cake and beautiful photos of them, as well!

Cool some frogs are out already! You might have to check out Cordova some time... we have twice the herps you do up river: 2! Wood frog and boreal toad, although the toads have all but disappeared in recent years.

Costa Rica has such great diversity and you sampled a nice cross-section of it. The glass frog images are beautiful and cool you got to see a Tapir. I, too, have been to CR 4 times and the Osa and Corcovado are my favorite!
