Thanks for the advice again. Things weren't bad at all. I had 9 flights on the trip and could avoid film going through the xray machine all but two of those flights. Interestingly, my carry on was only weighed at the beginning in Logan Airport / Boston.

I actually always used to do film as well but had to abandon it in 2009 after coming back from Australia and having all my film ruined when they made me scan it. It comes to about 4 rolls a day, which I think is modest for a trip like this. I won't do digital, its a personal thing. Though the elimination of Provia 400 makes it harder, its harder every year. Less time in Bako, more time in Kubah. I've done some googling, but the answers I'm getting are relative statements (i.e. one is heavier bodied)... but if you had a snake in from of you (lets say no color, an albino), how would you tell if it is a burmese python or a reticulated python? Is there a scale count or labial count?

Most of the larger fish would fit that description. In fact, the invasive fish would be ideal for this type of study because their populations should be increasing or at least relatively stable if the hydrology is stable, but if the hydrology is substantially disrupted then those species should be ...
