Dude, those habitat shots of the cal newt, pacific gopher, red racer, and the zonata are unbelievable! :thumb: Although I'm a snake guy my fav is that cal newt. Any special technique you used to get that pic if you dont mind sharing because Im absolutely in love with that pic! :shock:

This was no laughing matter, but it was funny seeing Tim's reaction after we went back down the canyon and showed him the pics....

Sorry if I didn't read this above but I'm pretty sure there wasn't a significant amount of burms in the wild until Hurricane Andrew hit in 1992. I forgot where in the Everglades, but a huge facility was destroyed during the hurricane. I believe around 800 baby burms were sent off into the wild. Once...

I've handled probably around 50 vagrans and not one has struck at me. They've done the musking thing and the death roll but that's it as far as defensive behavior goes.

I know a guy that found a DOR gravid emoryi rat snake. It had been freshly hit and its head was plastered to the black top but otherwise was perfect. He pushed all the eggs out and hatched them all. I think there was around 6 eggs but I cant remember for sure.
