Re: Back to the Sundarbans
Crotalus, Sistrurus and a lot of terrestrial Viperidae are typically bite and release. Arboreals tend to hold on, or it's a long drop out of the tree for the prey item and a long search trying to find it again for the predator!

Re: Back to the Sundarbans
That brings back the memories! Great trip, Jodee and I will always remember it. In regards to Trimeresurus feeding in the mangroves, my experience with captive members of that genus (albolabris, purpureomaculatus, flavomaculatus, vogeli, popeorum & trigonocephalus) is that they all hold onto their p...

Re: Sydney Snakes!
Perfect set of photos Jake, thank you for posting!
Would you be so kind as to provide details of your flash set up? The snakes are lit so nicely in these photos that I had to ask.
I have added you to my "following" list on Flickr, hope to see more photos like this soon!

Thank you for posting Kris.
Great photography, particularly liking those "Venomous Land Mines"!
Strange that I've never considered UAE for a herping destination, your thread is starting to make me consider!
