Hi everyone, I'm hoping to make my first trip to Arizona this coming August. I've driven through the state before, but this will be my first time herping it. Since different states have their own regulations concerning wildlife, I wanted to reach out to you Arizona natives and find out what I need t...

Re: Feb 28th and later- Palm Beach County and South activity
We've had quite a bit of warmer weather lately, and people have been successfully cruising stuff. Yesterday was particularly warm (high of 88) and I heard about one person that cruised a Mud Snake and a Swamp Snake in Palm Beach County last night. Someone also cruised three neonate EDBs, a cottonmou...

Thanks for the visits to my old stomping grounds! I've always felt that many of the corn snakes from the Devil's Garden area resemble Okeetee corns. Some (like one you posted a photo of) have very thick and clean black borders to the red blotches resulting in a nicely contrasting pattern. I love th...

I agree with Kris. If you want chameleons in your yard, build a large screened in enclosure for them to prevent them escaping. If you want wild reptiles in your yard, do what you can to encourage native species to take up residence. There are some still around, even in urban areas.

I've actually found new moons to be not too bad as long as the temps are warm and it's not too windy. On November 29 (which was a new moon), I found 18 snakes down there. And back on September 1 (another new moon) I got 31 snakes. But I've also had new moons that didn't turn out as well. Any thought...
