Color looks like a Boa, and so does the dorsal stripe on the part of the snake going under the fence. The part near the meter is very peculiar though...

Nice 'Winder shots! Super hard to get good nighttime shots of those light colored desert herps (especially when using a primitive p&s camera :lol: ). So what were the target snake species that you missed out on?

Your board attests to just how little rain we've received and how dry it seems to be most places. Consider yourself lucky to flip a snake under a dry board. So did you see the Helleri first or did he start rattling? Sketchy little buggers. Congrats on the lifer gummies :thumb:

They remind me of a Racer for the same reason Kent said: they either take of like a dart or freeze like maybe you won't notice them. Very fast snake once he realized I wasn't going anywhere. Looks like that last video ended right before he bit you. That slab of rock we were on is deceivingly large. The snake and the rock are bigger than they look. That being said, it appears Justin is 2-3ft away from the Ruber when in reality it's more like 5-6 ft. Still a bit close for comfort I guess...

I'm pretty sure the range for WDB doesn't come into the SD co. deserts, only Imperial & Riverside.
