You've piqued my curiosity. What salamander would that be? I can't find anything on google about a new braunfels salamander.chrish wrote: Of course, Landa Park in New Braunfels itself has an endemic aquatic spring salamander species that can't be seen anywhere else. Depends on what your interests are.

Re: Locality Bull Snake

Great job! It's obvious you had a blast. I love those whipsnakes! It's strange to me how they look so much like whipsnakes in the U.S. Those leopard snakes are awesome too.

2016 Herping so far
Finally got my lifer copperhead a couple weekends ago. I ended up finding 6 including one someone had smashed with a walking stick unfortunately. I found these all just hiking at the Trinity River in Dallas, Tx. It's pretty amazing how easy they are to find once you see the first one. http://i.imgur...

Re: New here. Here's some pics
We've got it pretty good here as far as herping goes. I can go out to several different spots and find +20 Ringnecks in one day. I haven't found any Milksnakes yet, I'm looking forward to that one. I'm sure parents would go to jail for letting their kids roam the woods. But even if they did I doubt ...

Re: New here. Here's some pics
Does anyone have any tips on finding hots like rattlers and copperheads? I've never found any. I wonder if I need to try something different besides hiking and flipping cover or will they just turn up eventually? Or is there a specific type of habitat I need to be looking for? I've heard about rocks...

New here with some pics
Hey everyone. I live in Tulsa, Ok and I am still pretty new to herping. This year will be my third season I believe. Out of the 47 or so snakes in Oklahoma I think I only have about 13 checked off my list, so I am definitely looking forward to finding more. All I have are cell phone pics right now b...
