Re: "Cruise Herping" in the Caribbean

Lizards are plenty interesting in their own right when one looks past them just being "that thing crawling on the nearest wall." Especially once one learns to appreciate even the diversity of the ubiquitous anoles and amievas. The second part is actually up just tonight, admittedly the latter two is...

"Cruise Herping" in the Caribbean

Didn't find everything I wanted to find, but hey, when does that happen ever? Part one is a doozy in terms of length, but full of animals:

Re: Captive Care Videos

You have no idea how much comments like that are appreciated! The channel can always use support too, if you can encourage others to watch or subscribe, or if you're willing to become a patron to support (links are always in the vid descriptions). If I can get to the point where I can regularly affo...

Re: Captive Care Videos

I will; takes time to make the vids (especially as I often alternative between plants and animals) so even during the winter season might only get a few out.

Captive Care Videos

It's that time of year where I really don't have much option for going out and looking for ectothermic wildlife, so I attempt to make videos focusing on the animals within the house. Just posted up a new one, pertaining to the largest snake I have and the details on their general care needs (and hop...

Recommendations for Info: the Southern Caribbean

A little over a month before there is an intended plan to end up on several islands of the southern Caribbean, including but not necessarily limited to: Barbados, Martinique, St. Lucia, the Virgin Islands, etc. I have no idea how long I'll actually have on each island, but anywhere I can I want a ch...

Re: Long-time Lurker with a Video Suite

Thanks to both; I'll admit I manage tones better in person and through videos than I do in online methods (so if I come off sounding excessively blunt, touchy, etc. in writing here, I can't process written conversation as well as verbal so I end up going straight to points more than I should) so I'm...

Re: Led Lights not as good as they look

So, basically the same issues as there are already with lights in those color spectra...problems with light pollution have been something being fought for some time now though, so it's the same principle that needs to be addressed.

Re: Long-time Lurker with a Video Suite

After the first SE CO trip, stuck around home to make a couple more short vids:

Re: Long-time Lurker with a Video Suite

Thus far most of my videos have been moderately short productions; two forays to southeastern Colorado for a full weekend required longer documentation however. This was the first:

Re: Long-time Lurker with a Video Suite

Not the longest vid I've made so far, but this trip was perhaps my most exciting personally so far; after looking for years, I finally located a snake I've been wanting to see desperately:

Re: Long-time Lurker with a Video Suite

This past winter was spent making videos about the animals and plants at home (will probably be doing the same this winter since herping around here is kind of impossible in the snow), and then with spring, started out with finding frogs:

Re: Long-time Lurker with a Video Suite

Thanks for the positives! As I said I'm a tech dunce so the past year has just been a slow work in progress trying to get the videos to look better and get as much info into them as I can think of (and have a little fun along the way here and there). My next couple of vids were short clips of the fi...

Long-time Lurker with a Video Suite

I've checked in on and off to this site but never actually made an account until now; I've been a reptile nut for over 20 years, actively been out on trips solely to look for herps over the last 7 or 8 or so, and have recently attempted to take the activity to a more educational level in a couple di...
