Awesome post Matt! This spring was bad and hard for me as well, I ended up finding out that despite some of the low night time temps stuff was still coming up but later in the day. That milk your son found is a screamer for sure and will be a hard one to top. Great post.

Definately a calligaster I have been hunting in Kc Mo all my life and have only seen one bull snake in that area, which is no longer there, and Ive only seen 3 bulls in Mo pretty rare for mo, if it was kc ks it would be different, the pics although bad are definately a calligaster

Definately a juvenile green rat I googled images for them, they look just like a calligaster even more so than emoryi, brian you should have known it wasn't a pitouphis for sure :lol:

Yeah L.t.t Have a way of taking over, just ask the syspila that use to be inbetween temporalis (old syspila population) and the "new syspila range" :lol: Plus they both like to breed to each other and there may be snakes that more resemble syspila in that county if it is a true intergratio...

My initial thought was ruthveni, could be a jalisco milk snake, I think ruthveni are a lot more common pets than arcifera though, I would start with those two untill you find factors that cancel them out.

I think its always neat to find an individual again, I have a couple of milks and holbrooki like that, I see them once or more a year, Im sure Ive seen many of the same ringnecks but they are a bit harder to distinguish. Most milks I don't see again after I find them, They are very secretive creatur...
