That Sinonatrix is definatly S. annularis, given the clear ventral bands and reddish coloration on the venter. I heard they are very rare in Taiwan now, you are very lucky!

The whole story is fake and made up... The picture was taken in SE Asia, and there are multiple versions of the fake story on the Chinese social media, with location ranging from Guangxi to Dongbei.

Unlike my previous trips to Tibet, we focused on the high elevation regions in eastern Tibet and parts of the Hengduan Mountain Ranges. The last stop of the trip, Fenshuiling Nature Reserve at the China-Vietnam border.
