I like my fenix LD22(uses double aa) and my fenix hp11 headlamp.
the only thing is I do not like the hp11 headband. the set up on it totally sucks.

Ok, I could not use real field conditions being it snowing out so I used the closet for now. I used aperture priority, iso 200. Set it on macro. Set me flash at -.3 . Took a bunch of pics of white things, bright yellow and stuff like that, and shiny. My only glitch was focusing. My subject had to be...

you all hit on some of the problems I had,
by basic I meant flash the comes with the camera, although that camera has settings for different flashes.
I am going to try all the different ideas to see which one I liked the most. I will get back on my findings.

I believe in the past, boston herpers have found herps migrating before northern jersey, I am sure from the shore temps.

second, I hate bricks salamander larva id threads.
third, lets face it. these coastal milks are quite ugly to begin with so I don't see what the big deal is about them, add corns to that list also.

you won't get a general consensus, because lifers are a personal thing. it comes from the bird guys originally. so defining a lifer is up to you. 1. do you count a dead lifer or must it be alive 2. do you have to personally find it, or can it be the group you are with 3. do you have to get a picture...
