A little farther west and you have Sherburn wma. Should be able to find salamanders and/or a few snakes.

Kids and critters

Did a local species show for a Lake Fausse Point state park. The kids loved learning and interacting with some of the species located within the park. Will will also be setting up the state park with some custom enclosures and help them with display animals in their interpretive center. http://i1201...

I would say the same. I've found some very small dekays and none have ever had that pattern or collar. That kinda threw me off.

Found this little guy in the basin this morning. It has a ring around its neck but I know its not a Mississippi ring neck. I have caught baby Dekays before and they looked nothing like this. The two turtles look like Cooters. The frog looks like a Southern leopard. In the southern leopard the two lines down the back are solid and not broken like in Rio grandes. Im not that good with frogs so I could be wrong on those.

We could either do an early morning trip, or an evening trip that lasts after sundown to get more of the frog species. There is primitive camping for those interested.
