Re: West Texas Trip and a few late summer herps
Does it concern you that people watching your vids might try and emulate your behavior? Does it concern me? I believe we are responsible for our own actions. I do not endorse or show me holding venomous snakes for enjoyment. My videos are strictly for educational purposes. While yes, I do not want ...

Re: West Texas Trip and a few late summer herps
Scott -- Haha, yes but not exactly RobK -- I do not handle them unless necessary and I try to film them in a natural setting. Starting the films just showing a snake is not very interesting to some. Showing a mock capture intrigues people more and I get to pull them out of areas that shows favorable...

Re: West Texas Trip and a few late summer herps
I agree completely Chris. I also think after watching the footage that I cut it WAY too close with the scute. I was watching his face though trying to see where he was reading, and let go when I noticed him getting too much of an "s." Live and learn; and that will never happen again. Someo...

Hollanders, you are the first person to compliment me on holding rattlers. I am glad I finally found something in my vids you like. YES!! I try to hold the rattlers as little as possible. Just enough to keep them in frame for the films and no more than that. In my Blacktail film, I do not hold them ...

Re: West Texas Trip and a few late summer herps
In relation to the horridus, TPWD knew I had him and gave me permission to remove him. They even gave me the number to their herpetologist in Austin, Tx. They were very nice and happy that I saved him. He was relocated about a mile from where he was captured. The racer was not cold, but had chilled ...

Re: Harris county locality milks-bright or washed out?
I live in Montgomery County and the milksnakes I catch here are VERY vivid. I would post pictures of them, but I have not figured out how to do that on this forum yet. It seems the image uploader hates me :) Here is a link to the many snake photos I have taken. Just click on the album title Louisian...

Re: Kingsnake vs. WDB Rattlesnake
That is one of my biggest problems in my opinion, is the fillers and speaking to fast. I am trying to cram so much information into the films, I feel like I need to speak fast when I can pause and take the time to make quality documentaries. Thanks again buddy.

Kingsnake vs. WDB Rattlesnake
Hey guys, I just joined the site and it is very nice to meet you all. I am a Biology teacher here in the state of Texas and make short documentaries on snakes found in our beautiful state. I just posted a video to my youtube channel about the speckled kingsnake in which it also details the behavior ...
