Amazing -- what a great year! Goblin toad, variable clowns, aquatic coral, bushmaster, Kirtland's, gorgeous blue racer, Baja worm lizard, Catalina chuck and baja collared...tons of favorites in here for me. Great "toad-sticker" shot of the platirhinos. Congrats!

Thanks Gary, Jason, and Kelly! Jason -- it took me MUCH longer to start getting good indoor shots than outdoor ones. Keep messing with flash intensity, ambient lighting, and lighting you add in the form of spotlights, etc. Also try different distances from your subject and different ISO settings. Carl

What's interesting is that I believe it's the EASTERN that holds the size record, over 13", an individual from Douglas Co., MN which is where my in-laws live. I've found ten-inchers exiting ponds in August with gill bud remnants.
