Re: Pink Headed Reed Snake

Awesome intertidal shots from Krabi dude. I probably could spend hours poking around there looking for various marine life and hoping to chance upon a sea snake. The sleeping lizard is a Calotes versicolor , Changeable lizard. And I believe your near DOR snake from Japan is a juvenile Elaphe climaco...

Just to add to Kevin's post of Asian genera

Blue necked keelback - Macropisthodon rhodomelas
Olive keelback - Atretium schistosum

That puts us at 9 genera?

keelback, racer, ratsnake = ughh

Re: New Snake App for Singapore

This app is targeted at the general public to create a better understanding and tolerance of snakes. As such, we kept it simple choosing to leave out the finer details you might find in a naturalist's or herper's guide. So for such usage, the "what snake is that" bit was designed the way i...

Re: June Holidays

D. cyanochloris and D. haasi are definitely rarer in terms of occurances and distribution.

D. caudolineatus is quite widespread and relatiely common in Singapore.

That Lipinia vittigera is a pretty sweet find. Gorgeous skink.

Nice find with that cyanea! I'd love to encounter one when I travel North again.

Hans, that's close to as big as cynodon gets! Wow. The longest one I have found was 207cm. Love them!

They were both completely exhausted shortly after that video was taken. We picked them up and that's when I determined the sex. Released them on different trees.

Aggression in Bronchocela cristatella

We found this pair locked in this position some time back and I shot this with my phone. These lizards are by no means shy and will pose beautifully for pictures but I have never seen this level of ignorance to surroundings in them. We were standing barely half a meter from them and they paid us no ...

As mentioned, I did not take this photograph. A friend of mine did at the stated location. I would definitely have picked it up as it looks like nothing I have seen before. Re: Canon MT-24EX Macro Twin Lite Flash

I bought the MT-24ex Twin Lite from a friend recently and I have to say that I am really enjoying it. It takes a minute or 2 to set up so it isn't the best candidate for that quick whip out and snap in situ shot, unless you walk around set up of course. I use the 100L so I needed to get a ring lite ...
