Dery- the problem is that the admins of the database don't know what data is "for your own backup" or what is good enough to be provided to potential conservation managers. Gotta love the petroglyphs and pictographs of fauna. I've seen some a few feet from each other in the guntersville area visable as a horridus, the other an agkistrodon. Anyways, I always get a kick out of pre-columbian field guides.

It's optional last time I checked. It gives you more controll in the database. Entering data and transferring data to Herpmapper are still free.

Yes, in a sandhill. The area was adjacent to a steephead ravine though.
