Using the camera on the phone sometimes sucks up too much battery but its convenient. I like to edit/crop my photos first anyway. So I entere the record sans pic then edit the record later.

Bob and I discovered an Andy Wolfe found a 'dor' Eastern earth snake leading to the discovery of 3 more individuals marking the first time in 50 years the species was observed in the state. Bob F. and I found the third individual.

The app is awesome IMO. I dont usually take photos for it, but I capture the record with it. Then its one button for the synchronization. I edit my photos before adding to the db. Folks should consider doing the same. especially cropping your photo. Also, putting your records in the db within a day ...

If it were just as easy to post photos here as it is on FB... Still a member of NAFHA, still a member of HERP and will always submit records to the database. Requests still come in so there is a use for our citizen science.

Piedmont is a tough sell, no one wants to go look for the common stuff. I plan on a trip to those "white" counties in the spring.

Their call is the same as the north jersey frogs. Not sure if genetics were done yet. A local vernal pool biologist who works for nj dnr believes them to be the new species.
