The Gaviota area is helleri. Greenish and cinnamon examples like the one you posted occur in helleri populations throughout their range. I've seen ones like that from orange county, los angeles and the san diego area.

You beat me Jim. Albino beats anery. I should've kept the anery so we can work on snows. Pet stores could have the same garden variety as they do with corn snakes. Think about it, a tough-as-nails alternative to leopard geckos

There is no way that gopher snake is axanthic.
An axanthic gopher snake would be much more monochrome grey (grey, black, silver, reddish hints).

I think the most common large snake in california are 6-9 ft timber rattlesnakes. I know this has to be true because every cowboy that I talk to sees them.
