C'mon guys. Upper TX coast sirtalis aren't unexpected finds. They're actually predictable and a number of recent DORs are effectively out of the food chain. Pygs and chicken turtles......a bigger challenge.

Those are some great shots! What's your max zoom range? I bought a 300mm a while back for birds and turtles and unfortunately haven't put it to much use. I need to but I generally don't devote much patience to birds, and turtles as the case is.

That's a little coachwhip. My first though was racer due to the bold coloration but the head especially and pattern after a closer look tend to give it away. Not what hatchling coachwhips look like in my neck of the woods but a coachwhip in any case.
