Anyone willing to share some spots near NYC?

I'm flying to NYC in a few days and will be there over the weekend. I'll particularly be around Katonah, Carmel and White Plains (visiting family) and was wondering if anyone had any spots to herp. I haven't posted on FHF in awhile but I'm sure some people could vouch for me. I only take photographs...

Every year I always look forward to your posts. They never ever disappoint. And even though a lot of herpers won't include the bad (getting bit, accidently killing a snake), I am glad you do. It's happened to a lot of us and sometimes sh*t happens. Anyway, thank you again for sharing and reminding m...

The Gila National Forest. Either around Silver City or the Black Range. Tons of free camping, tons of habitat, lots of elevation and habitat change in relatively short distances with a lot of variety of herp species. Black Range is a couple hours drive from El Paso or Albuquerque for people flying in.

San Diego Herpers - Help me find a Cal King?

The plan: I will be flying into Cali on April 8th...I would have to be in LA early April 10th, so that leaves April 9 free to do some flipping/herping. Last year I went and was lucky enough to meet up with some board members (Kent VanSooy, crazins, Mike Zerwekh) who helped me find some cool lifers. ...

I have herped there. I DO herp there. It's still a little early to see much, but warm days (like we've been having) can turn up some snakes. Usually Sonoran gopher snakes, atrox, mountain patchnose, etc. Head to Dark Canyon Rd and you can pretty much hike anywhere as it's BLM land.
