I went to the FWC link. Almost everything in South East Florida where I live is still closed. A couple Saturdays ago I was in Hendry County and Spirit Of The Wild WMC was open. I don't know if if it's because Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties have had the strictest closings in the state or not....

I think ribbons are the only snake I have ever stopped getting out of the car to get them off the road, on those occasional nights where they are that frequent....I was just wasting too much cruising time doing so.

Well, the obvious reason Parks don't advertise herps as an attraction is that the vast majority of their customers are afraid of them.
However, I have seen Parks warn of their presence both from a danger perspective and when the herps are protected....

I think a factor that should be considered with day cruising is temperature and time of year. I'm in north central Florida and from my experience day cruising during the hottest part of the year through the hottest part of the day (as far as snakes) will get you nothing but racers and coachwhips. Thanks for all the help guys. I want to split my time between two spots. I think we'll do La Selva Bio Station for one, but I'm still open for the other. For the second spot, I'd be looking for something more upscale. Not a high-end resort by any stretch, but more of an eco-lodge with bungalows etc...
