This past Sunday Mark (herper1) and I met up to look for timbers, we were not disappointed. We found the first literally the first step into the boulder field, I had stepped onto a boulder and then heard Mark yell "Theres one right behind you!" It was one of the scariest and best thing I h...

Hello, in August I may have a week long trip dedicated to herping in Lady lake. I have all week to herp if I go. I am not looking for your hot spot, maybe just some pointers.
Almost everything would be a lifer. Would love to see a pygmy though.
Thanks!

Bob that sounds good, I say we literally measure them with a tape. Or what I usually do for a rough guess is put my hand on the edge of the shell and take the picture.

I pulled back fast, It must of turned around in that short time. I have gotten bit by a small one, maybe 8 inches. It cra...

Hello, today I was on a fishing trip and there is this one area on the stream that seems to be a very old man-made dam from cement and rocks. There has always been a good amount of watersnakes on this small dam, so after spooking a few from this one spot, I sat right above the hole they took cover i...

Should we trap and then sterilize them and then release them? Bottom line stray cats kill thousands of native an...
