found many frogs , pickerels and greens plus tmtc red spotted newts in the water and the usual painted turtles basking. then two were found doing a little digging/one pictured below. found a spotted turtle but couldn't get a photo. dropped in the water the second i spotted it. i waited half an hour ...

sometimes hognoses just go off feed. its not uncommon for a male to do so. often associated with the urge to breed but not always. i had a male that would stop eating for many weeks as yours has and maintained good health. after a couple years of this behavior i increased his cage temps to 80-82 on ...

i have seen black vultures here on occasion. i was wondering myself how rare they are for CT. this is the first time i have seen them in central-ish CT. usually see them closer to the shore. I had to drive home to get my camera and then back in order to take advantage of this great photo opportunity...
