Re: Snake Road On-Site Weather Data Oct 12/13, 2013
Hahaha. If you look at Chris's data it doesn't look too bad. The rained sucked, but the salamanders sure were moving during the heaviest of it.
Thanks for posting the data, Chris.

Re: Snake Road October 3-7 2013
Nice! Extremely jealous of the mud snake and timber. Both would be lifers as would an adult marbled salamander. Looking forward to going this weekend. Thanks for posting!

Re: Snake Road and the Shutdown
We were planning on staying there as well, but like Chris we can't get a hold of anyone. Showed up there last time and couldn't find anyone or an empty site. I guess we'll have to play it by ear.

My year so far - Picture Heavy
I decided it was time to do my first real post. Hopefully these pictures show since I'm copying them from my blog. We started herping at the end of January here in Central Missouri. I thoroughly enjoyed this post. That is an area I've always wanted to visit, but have not yet had the chance. Great photography!

Replacing Cover
I've always done my best to replace cover when I move it. Ever since I was a kid, it just seemed like the natural thing to do (you know;the take only pictures, leave only footprints thing). Anyway, during my first trip to Snake Road this past fall, we were finding a lot of cover that had been flippe...

I'm sure it's simple, but can someone explain the difference between the purple scale and scale ranging from red to green?
Thanks!

Sceloporus question
Hey all, I've become a little confused about some Sceloporus. I see lizards almost daily here in central MO. I've always called them Northern Fence Lizards. I've been submitting them to the database as S. consobrinus because according to the MO Herp Atlas and MDC that's my only option for here. Howe...
