Yep 15 boxes going all the time. Pine shavings, Teklad lab chow, water. Eight big boxes 4 girls 1 boy, seven small boxes 2 girls 1 boy. That was all I could get. Thanks for the report Dave. So many folks talk about a trip and then never post what happened. I had a trip planned for Big Bend in April. Southwest cancelled it and so did my buddies. I am going to try again next year. I have yet to see a suboc, and a wild caught alterna is on my bucket list. craigb

I used "Stebbins, Robert C. " Field guide to Western Reptiles and Amphibians for the first two decades I herped. It was 1972 to about 1992, I carried it everywhere.
Now I research online and have a good idea of what to expect before I go.

Sorry folks nothing Crotalid wise to add today. I was out and about last night and saw a few snakes. Sunday nights are so pleasant, no traffic on the roads getting there. Nobody on my favorite roads. I also agree Kelly....
I think many reptiles and amphibians have a much higher sensitivity to humidity levels in the wild as well.
As humans we barely acknowledge anything other than major changes in humidity.
