Why would you want to use a 100 macro for herp photos? Just curious. I have the 100mm macro L Canon. Love it!! I use it for portraits of my dogs and daughter. Glass is incredibly smooth and it is an absolute awesome lens...just not so much for herps in my opinion.

Interesting shot Noah. I have not seen that 'black' bordered cinerea in upper south, or more specifically the west TN/KY area. Perhaps this is a characteristic more likely found in FL populations? Very beautiful frog by the way.

Great images Alex! That first image of the E. Milk is super good. Specimen with lots of white and I don't think I see that much. Are Italian Wall Lizards common up there? They are also in northern KY along the Ohio River. Loved the Redback Salamander shot - really pretty.
