Re: S. Calif. trip

Hi Richard!

Long time no talk! Our trip to the San Jacintos years ago was great. I had a blast. You damn near killed me in those hikes. I spent some recent time with Brian Hinds in the San Jacinto's. Which I'm sure he told you about. I would love to catch up with you soon someday.....

Re: Tulare Co. Night Driving

Hi Richard!! Long time no see no talk lol. A few months ago when the trip was being planned I recommended July but people had other plans and I vowed to try in July. I didn't collect any but you know me being a data junkie I took notes. I also entered this in to the HERP database with all the coordi...

Tulare Co. Night Driving

Spent a couple nights road cruising for Rubber Boas in Tulare County. Saw quite a few. These are two of them as found.

Re: Bucket Trap Mystery

Probably for spiny's? Maybe Leaf Toed Geckos. If they're looking for Switaks I would say they are way off and that's good. Kinda but not for the diurnal stuff. Game cam would be funny though lol.

Re: CA Chapter outing 2016

Richard, Are you looking at June 23rd or June 23? I picked July because that time of year in any weather condition we can find boas easily at least. The moon phase will be good again (Rubber Boas are not affected by moon though) for all herps. I would very much enjoy being back in the field with you...

Re: CA Chapter outing 2016

This is something I think I'll attend. I love that area and have quite a bit of experience with. But, I'm with Fundad. Road cruising that time of year for rubber boas is the only way your going to find them really unless you get tat one oddball. Garter snakes and lizards during the day. Plus there's...

Re: Possible Country Records for the US

San Matias Pass. This is an In-Situ shot of the only one I've found there and the farthest north I've found one. I know of a small hand full of others found at this pass.

Re: N.A.F.H.A. Field Trip 2015!

To find the new stuff (If it's there or hard to find but there) it takes more than road side helping. As you know that is why so much in those obscure NV locales not much is found. Results take hard work as you know.

The radio tower area is a good start and then onto "The Mountain". May take some serious hiking.

Re: N.A.F.H.A. Field Trip 2015!

How about trying for the less known or unknown? Boas need more work and some of us think pyros are there as well.
