yeah... typically Mt helleri are predominantly black, with white, yellow, green, or even peach, typically thinner markings/lines. When sunning, the often appear completely black. This one was from about 6000 ft, and not out sunning... I would hardly call 6000' "high elevation." Helleri ca...

It's not illegal to breed your snakes, but it is illegal to keep the offspring for more than 45 days (even if you freeze them for later use) unless you have a the proper permits. The 45 day rule only applies to animals that were gravid when collected. You still need a permit to breed for noncommerc...

You can always just look at the histogram to see if its over or under. In a high contrast image, its not always possible to get a "perfect" exposure. I'd say the exposure of this image is within tolerance. The over-exposed areas are shown below. http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s206/noex...

No pics here. I've seen plenty of tracks though. Here's one I found as I was backpacking into a canyon in Anza Borrego to spend the night. I wear a size 12 boot. Luckily the tracks were leaving the canyon!

I ended up getting the Garmin Foretrex 401. Its just a basic unit, but it has all the features I need and only weighs 3.1oz with batteries!
