Re: Rattlesnake depicted in Afghanistan in Lone Survivor
Something that is little known about the whole "Lone Survivor" thing is that is was not in fact a SEAL Operation but it was a US Marine led operation. Ahmad Shah never killed 20 Marines as said in the movie. He killed less than 5 Marines. How do I know this? Oh I might have been there. Hah...

So I have been out taking pictures of herps since I was old enough to hold a camera. That doesn't mean Ive ever taken a decent photo. I just recently bought a Nikon D3200 with multiple lenses. What do you other herpers like to use for a camera? I just moved back to Arizona 2 weeks ago and am looking...

From jump street I want to say that these are not photos taken by me. They are a couple cell phone pictures taken by my sister sent to me while she was vacationing in Costa Rica. I did not go through your 4 part series in order, but thanks for the great layout of pictures. It makes winter out in the Mid west A little bit more bearable. I particularly liked the pics of the scenery in this post especially the fog cloaked saguaros and the old jet engine. Thanks again!

I saw my very first rattlesnake in Castlewood Canyon back in the early 90s. It was always a very reliable spot to get some pictures of prairie rattlesnakes. I spent a lot of time there when I was growing up. Nice to see that there are still some in there.

Re: Tanning Roadkill Skins
I do this whenever I find road kills that aren't too chewed up. I use the skins on knife sheaths and other leather projects. And the ones that I find that are too smashed up I usually try and get them off the road so that whatever comes to dine on it does not get it self hit as well.
