Yep. The victim was supposedly a shock television producer. If real, I'd bet money that it is all caught on tape and will become public as soon as they edit it, hype it, and find a buyer.WW** wrote:If it's real, I am sure all will come out eventually.

People are breaking an existing law. Do you a) enforce that law more effectively, or b) make ANOTHER law to be ignored? c) make a new law that permits you to violate the first IF you buy a special license. Who wants to bet that the final law includes some sort of exception for "licensed snake ...

I've seen the twisted tail hissing Scutes in South Brewster and North Presidio Counties (about 100 miles apart). The tail thing is really weird. Almost like a deformation. There are lots of subtle differences, but almost all (including the width of the banding) are highly variable. Nine times out of ten, I just know by gestalt. When uncertain, I rely on the head scales. Unfortunately, my eyesight is not always good enough to judge this from a safe distance. So, I just...

That does sound like a very serious problem. A massive native turtle certainly does not belong in a fenced pond full of non-native fish and foul.
My suggestion: Remove the fence. Remove the non-native fish. Feed the non-native foul to the turtle. Problem solved.
