I cant decide if I'm still down for camping or if I need a room. i know of the limited motel choices in mena, they were in the $75-$100 a night range. Not too bad if its spliit up. Not sure o...

I think that weekend will provide the best conditions for the most variety of herps. We can start fielding questions and forming plans as soon as this date is in stone. Looking forward to it.

First atrox of the year!
Well, despite some late winter cold, things are starting to move here in AR/OK. As luck would have it, a friend told me about this spot he and his buddy had discovered while riding motorcycles. He said basically there was this little bluff area where you could look off and see some huge rattlesnakes...

Guess it depends on how things are set up..but on about 99% of snake removals I've done, I come take the snake and thank them for not killing it, drive out their driveway waving, then dump the snake out in the nearest appropriate habitat when I'm out of site. So far, I've never been called to remove...

I'll just tag on to what Van has said... fungal infections are bad stuff and probably best treated by euthanasia. Thats my 10cents. Ah spring is everywhere... So a couple weeks ago, Mike Spencer & my boy decided to make a run to south arkansas. The allure of buttermilk racers and coral snakes trumped anything we could find up here in the northwest part of the state, so to the south we went. As usual, the weather went to shit...
