Komodo Island

I will be going to Indonesia for business in late October, I since I need to go to Bali for some meetings, I would like to head over to Komodo Island for a day or two to see the dragons. Does anybody have an recommendations on how to get a tour booked up?

He was about 1.3 meters. The shot of the underside was done when he was dumped out the bag once we got to the spot where we took the photos.

Great shots, Stephan. I think I might have been better off without a macro lens. However, most snakes I find here in HK are less than 1m, so that has become my default herping lens. With regards to the length, I'm not sure. My arm span is 1.6m and despite being wrapped around the sapling and scrunch...

Excellent report. I'll have to try frozen durian, which is by far my favorite fruit. Do you just pop it in the freezer?

A fantastic report, Hans. I am a bit disappointed that I wasn't able to go herping with you and Mr. Onionsack during my visit to Taiwan last month. I will definitely try to get over before the end of the year and hopefully we can plan an outing up to Yangmingshan or Baling.
