Well, Hubbs and I both belong to each chapter, so we split up. Even though he is definitely untouchable, I think my chapter is up to the challenge and will make up ground on the one-handed herpers and people too scared to enter data out there. :lol: :D :beer:

I recently made my goal a little more feasible than I originally had planned. I'm going to attempt herping only half as much as I did last year. This includes all the prescouting, internet research, reading, Google earthing, watching the weather, etc...

That is correct. The bottom line is we want to populate the data base. As long as you think you can be precise with your details from 2003, put it in! ...If you go to Cali in June... put it in! It all counts.

If someone wants to tell me where the actual rules are, I can work something up.

...Tamara used an "observed" scorecard, I think. I used an actual entered in 2012 scorecard that counts historic and current. I'm assuming mine was the correct one, if someone can confirm.

I don't even know what the rules are for this. I thought it was just based off of total entries, so I threw up the top ten real quick. In my chapter, we have a bit more complicated of a system where certain things are worth certain points.

I'm curious to see what is turned up. I was out this morning and it was mud everywhere. Maybe the ground might not be frozen anymore. I'm gonna guess no. That hard freeze last week should keep even the oddballs down. If you are on roads bisecting shallow wetlands, you might get some frogs, but I don't think there will be any migration activity. Of course, I live to prove myself wrong and am always trying to find the weird herps so...
