Re: Last minute trip to So Cal.

Thanks for the reply! I really appreciate it! We'll be driving pretty much all day tomorrow, and then stopping near Bakersfield. Once we get into the hotel, I'm gonna road cruise my brains out until I get sick of driving. Torrance is just south of LA I think. I would love to find some rosys. I'll ch...

Last minute trip to So Cal.

Hey Folks, The wife wants to go to L.A. this weekend. Yup, a last minute decision. I kinda don't feel like driving that far, but what does she say to entice me? "Honey, we can stop and herp anywhere you want on the way there and back". OK, she's got me. So, we will be on I-5 between Sacramento and T...

RenoBart- I'm sorry to hear about that man, that really sucks. Where you at least able to get the ID you'd wanted? No, it was getting dark, I was pretty disgusted with what I saw, and I didn't bother to examine the poor thing. Furthermore, it was belly up (very pale white) and its head was smashed....

Well, like I said, if you head east to the Sierras you will certainly find some there this time of year. I frequently see them when hiking along trails and I saw some not this past weekend but the weekend before flipping in the morning. They're biters too. :)

If you consider 12 years old newer, then yes they've been coming with locking rear diffs. These aren't air lockers, they are electronic. The Taco TuRD package circa 98 came with it.
