I think krickets had a good assessment. There are not many possibilities for the time of year and they look like treefrog tads. Gray treefrog is the best fit.

Id even say the second is also a squirrel. I cant think of ever seeing a broken striped gtf like that, and the tympanum color is brown, not green like a gtf.

Looks like YOY. My guess is a bird got the mother and ate it up in a tree. Those wriggled free or fell out when she was ripped open but were a week or 2 premature so they died.

I agree with Kyle, the Coordinate Method Field should default to "Mobile App" or something like that. How about a Notes section? Maybe its possible to allow for more fields via the Settings. For example, in the settings you could select which fields to turn on or off? That way the app could accommod...

Kings snakes supposedly extend up the floodplain of the Susquehanna River, although I am not aware of any specific record. This presumably would extend their range into PA (Lancaster Co). OK yeah those are probably painted.

Spotted turtles just lay them in thick vegetation on the ground, might dig a small depression, but they are usually left exposed.

a nest of turtle eggs (probably painted) not buried. I filled in the nest.
Do you have photos of this? You know, some turtles dont bury their eggs....like spotted turtles. :shock:

Although if they were in a nest cavity, all below ground, that would probably rule out spotted turtle.

Chris,

You are correct, thats what it does. I think there is really no need to have Date Created and Date Modified included. These should definitely be replaced with Date observed.

Chris, Tadpoles are tough by picture ID because many species are variable in color. You often have to rely a lot on known distribution, habitat, time of year, and size to figure them out. It seems they have also pulled "Tadpoles of the United States and Canada: a tutorial and key" from the USGS page...

"success" is a relative term depending on what you hope to find. I road cruise the piedmont in Cecil. For snakes you need high humidity nights with no wind or immediately after a nice rain.

On the website, I just copy and edit a previous record, although that might take just as much time as reentering the coordinates if you have to search around for a specific record.

I think Don has zooming the map to the selected county on his "things to do" list.

All American. Here are some ID characteristics. Paratoids separated from craninal crests. Paratoids kidney shaped. Warts on body large and tipped with a small spine especially on the hind legs. All of those characters hold true for your specimens. Some other characters are 2 or fewer warts per spot,...
