I had about 10, fixed them all except one because it was near a border, but it's funny because google earth says its the county I have entered, but it is still flagged as wrong. I know the area well and know for a fact the county I chose is right.

I used to have a canebrake shed that was cut open and in good condition. It hung from my python's cage for quite a while. Then I lost it in a move and later found it and donated it to the rattlesnake museum.

Yes and no. we found several lizards, mainly Chihuahuan spotted whiptails and crevice spiny lizards, but also a few fence and tree lizards. We found no snakes, but did find two blacktail sheds within 50 feet of each other, one of which was very fresh, probably within 24 hours. We didn't have much ti...

Thanks Chris. I couldn't believe that elegans either, but we did find it right next to a pond full of bullfrog tadpoles...so pretty easy meals. I am excited about this weekend. I've never been there, so it should be fun to explore a new area at any rate. Oh, by the way, found a sirtalis last week......

Memorial weekend was the New Mexico Herp Society's spring field trip. This year we went to Wind River Ranch in Mora County.
