Just the 'coastal' Ca Glossy is hands off... neither of the two desert species are protected... as for why... one could argue that we didn't provide enough data for the re-write of the SSC list... but...UC Davis was so late on their report that the State couldn't wait, so went with the ole 'precaut...

That Ca glossy is now, given the new regs, hands off species. My boa started breathing funny. I've never noticed it before and it doesn't seem normal. He's not regurgitating, but I'd like to pinpoint the problem. He has no other signs at this point of an infection or anything. Any ideas? I'm using walnut shell sand as substrate, could this be a problem?

cut off the end of a gold club, bend a 1/4" steel rod to your use, or find one you like, they bend fairly ez in a vise..insert it into the end of the club. should fit almost perfectly, then have it welded onto the end of it..you can pick up used golf clubs for about $1, buy a 2' piece of steel...
