I led myself to be under the impression that when weather hits the upper 90's they're mostly nocturnal. I'm also on the search for my first contortrix mokasen . When we're going through a heat wave, as we are now, is there a good time of day/night, or is it best to just wait it out for cooler weather?

Got'cha. Thanks for the heads up.

I'll refrain henceforth, but for what it's worth I've always been very careful to replace all items. I've seen trees completely debarked and rock piles completely pulled apart. Don't want to be a part of that category.

Question for all you snake photographers out there...

Tips and pointers are what I'm looking for... What's your best technique for getting a snake to hold still for a picture??? How do you get such beautiful shots? Three snakes side-by-side coiled up seems nearly impossible. Under a hat, under a cone... Basically, what do YOU find to be the best trick???

Heart breaking. I have a nine year old Regal Python named Saige. Got her when she was just a hatchling. Absolutely the most pleasant and rewarding snake I've ever owned. They're small enough that they'll always be manageable. I guess the owner just got tired of it.
