Strolling along one of the many sakura(Japanese cherry trees)-lined roads in the neighborhood the other night, I met yet another Taiwan Slug Snake (
Pareas formosensis), also a juvie, perched on one of the trees. Sadly, the tree wasn't in bloom yet.
Anyway, I picked it off the tree, but it jumped off my hand. I blocked his path with my boot, which he promptly climbed and fell in love with. Then he decided I must be some kind of nice, warm and meaty tree, and scrambled up my pant leg. As he reached waist height, I grabbed him with my left hand and tried to take photographs with the right. I took at least fifty of him traveling around on my arm and hand (nearly dislocating my elbow in the process), but the bugger was so agile and constantly on the move, that these here are just mere chance shots - proper composition was out of the question.

On my ballcap. Next time I'll wear my Tilly Hat; a much better artificial cave to cover and cool off snakes...
