Question: naherp.com home page map
The color-coding based on age of the sightings--is that based on the actual observation date, or when it was submitted to naherp? In other words, if I submit TODAY an observation from 10 years ago, will it show up as red (recent) or green (old)?

Re: Question: naherp.com home page map
"Age of most recent sighting in weeks"
So if you enter a record that is 10 years old, it would be color coded as 10 years ago, assuming there was no more recent records.

Very good; thank you.
Re: Question: naherp.com home page map
I'm sure it's simple, but can someone explain the difference between the purple scale and scale ranging from red to green?
Thanks!

The purple scale is for counties without vouchers.

I honestly don't know if I updated that to include them. I planned on rewriting the whole map generation system, so I may not have yet.chrish wrote:Do museum vouchers not count as vouchers?

My record #58811 is the only database record for Kinosternum arizonaense and is vouchered as a museum specimen and is over 50 years old, but I am color blind and can't tell if it's green or purple. Check that and it should answer the question. Art Cecil

I already know that museum vouchers aren't being counted. I have a few records in Maverick County, Texas that are museum vouchered yet the county shows up as purple.ADCIII wrote:My record #58811 is the only database record for Kinosternum arizonaense and is vouchered as a museum specimen and is over 50 years old, but I am color blind and can't tell if it's green or purple. But I am pretty sure they are counted in the contests.
