Ditto - looks like someone may have messed with the link to the HERP Database. It takes you to "www.naherp.com"

It's fixed now.

Not when I try to go to naherp.com. I still get the screen posted by dery. It's fixed now.
Thanks for your efforts. I hope it's nothing serious and won't give you a headache.

Re: NAHERP down?
Pressing F5 worked for me too. But is that how it's going to be from now on?

Re: NAHERP down?
I know what caused the issue, but I am confused as to WHY it caused an issue.
It started with HerpWiki. The drop downs to select Country/State/County when you add a picture, uses the same code as on Naherp. Javascript doesn't allow you to request data from other domains though, so to make it work without duplicating the code, I had the web server handling http://herpwki.com/ajax/ by doing an internal proxy request to http://naherp.com/ajax/. Well, I use a service called CloudFlare to cache static files, and add extra security to the site, and the way the proxy was being done, my server was connecting to cloudflares servers, which was connecting back to my servers. CloudFlare saw all the weird proxy traffic, and thought it was a hack attempt, and started blocking it. To get around it, I added an entry in the /etc/hosts file for www.naherp.com to make it resolve directly to my servers IP, rather than CloudFlares. That way the proxy requests for /ajax/ would be handled internally. Everything worked at first without issue. Then at night, the server logs are rotated so they don't get too big, and when it does that, it has to reload apache so it starts using a new log file. When it did that, apache reloaded its configuration files, and for some reason started ignoring the VirtualHost directive for www.naherp.com. When I removed www.naherp.com from the /etc/hosts file, everything started working fine again. I tried adding a hosts file entry for api.naherp.com to make it uses that for the Proxy requests, but apache was ignoring the VirtualHost directives for that as well if there was an entry in the hosts file for it. I ended up just ditching the proxy setup for /ajax/ and solving the HerpWiki issue a different way to avoid any issues.
