Special Recognition For Brian Hubbs Reaching 10,000 Records

Post by Fundad »

The Legendary Brian Hubbs reached a monster milestone yesterday.

He reached the 10,000 H.E.R.P. record mark.. :thumb:

That is years of dedication and hard work, and btw that is 4000+ better than anyone else.

That is 10k vouchered records with GPS btw.

10,000 + records, 415 different counties covering 248 species.

Amazing work Brian Congratulations. :thumb: :thumb:

Thank you Mr. Fundad, Sir...I am addicted.

You might want to add that when they click on that link it takes a little while to load, and when the click on the headings at the top they need to wait until the numbers change, then click again to see the high scores.

That's pretty insane. I know the dedication it takes to enter the records. Herping is one thing... it's fun. Entering records in NOT fun. Looking at stat sheets... maybe. But entering - no. And I enter like a fiend. And your numbers are just ridiculous. Unreal. Well done, or congrats, or impressive just aren't enough in my book. If anything, know that I can really relate and am astounded. You deserve the recognition!

For me entering the data is fun and not work. It is a relaxing way to spend my time in the mornings without watching tv or having to think much.

I wish I could say it was fun. It's rewarding, but not fun for me.

I enjoy reliving my trips by looking for the spots on the Google map, but not the photo-shopping and re-sizing that precedes entering the records.

I tried being you Hubbs. I got the hat, the books, the secret herping vitamins and herbal supplements. Heck, I even got to meet the author of your books! (Says he knows you, btw.) But the awesomeness was just too much.

Truth is, there can be only one!

PS, let me get to 5k records before you hit 20k?
